Abstract   Splenic metastasis of gastric carcinoma can be found in 1.6-12.7% of patients at autopsy. The cause of this rarity is unknown but phagacytic activity of spleen itself and unknown humoral factor against the cancer has been suggested. We experienced and report a case of splenic metastasis of gastric cancer in which radical total gastrectomy and splenectomy was undertaken.
